DJEBEL SAGHRO TREKKING IN MOROCCO 8 DAYS
Itinerary

DAY1 : Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Marrakech.

DAY2 : MARRAKECH – AIT YOUL
Post-breakfast, proceed to Ait Youl, convene with the muleteers, load the gear, and commence the trek. Traverse douars and hamlets from K. Mgouna to the base of the Saghro range. Leaving M’goun in our wake, we enter a volcanic terrain dotted with wormwood. Camp overnight in tents at Tidkit, 1600 meters. (6 hours and 30 minutes of walking).

DAY3 : – TIZI N’TAGMOUT – AIT OUZZINE
After breakfast, we trek along the base of Afougahl Mountain, descending into a valley adorned with oleanders. This valley guides us to the Elmar plateau, continuing to Tagmoute Col at 1890 meters. In the afternoon, we ascend Tin Ouayour Mountain, aiming to reach Assaka village. We spend the night in tents at N’Ait Ouzzine, situated at 1600 meters, after a six-hour walk.

DAY4 : N’AIT OUZZINE – TIFDASSINE
Traversing the Assaka valley, we pass through a series of quaint villages: Tajlalacht, Berkik, Berkou. The local villagers sustain a decent living from herds of goats and sheep. Our journey to the southern flank of Saghro is planned for late afternoon, with an overnight stay in tents at Tifdassine after a 6-hour and 30-minute trek.

DAY5 : TIFDASSINE – IGLI

Continuing eastward, we reach the Alhyabe pass, traverse Ilhazzoue, and then ascend the Tadaoute N’Tiblahe plateau. The view here is breathtaking, showcasing a volcanic landscape dotted with rocky peaks, basaltic conglomerates, and rugged terrain. We camp overnight in tents at Igli, situated at 1600 meters, after a seven-hour trek.

DAY6 : IGLI – BAB N’ALI
Ascending to Tissagdalte, we are greeted with a panoramic view of the Bab n’Ali conglomerate. Afterward, we'll depart the mules and proceed by vehicle towards N’KOB, where we will spend the night in a guesthouse. The journey includes three hours of walking and one and a half hours by car.

DAY7 : N’KOB – MARRAKECH
Visiting N'kob, then returning to Marrakech via the Draa Valley. Staying overnight at a hotel..
